Welcome to the Aspire School of Dance 2024/25 Scholarship which will be held at Gordano School, Portishead on 11th May 24, 12:30-16:00

We have decided at Aspire to give something back to the community and what better way than enabling a young talent to choose a dance lesson for free for the entire 2024/25 academic year.

If you have a girl or boy aged 4yrs+ who loves to dance then what are you waiting for. We will be tuning 3 groups on 11th May;

12:30-13:30 4-6yrs £10pp will have a hour session in the sixth form hall with Miss Ellie, they will experience a fun warn up, flexibility, some early years ballet / modern and finish off with a cool down. the young dancers will be monitored by Kelly discretely, looking at how they interact with the teacher, each other and their ability to listen and follow instruction.

13:30-15:30 both the 7-11yrs £15pp and 12yrs £15pp group will run. Both groups will experience 2 x 1 hour sessions, 1 hour in the sixth form hall and 1 hour on the stage in the main hall, the groups will then switch to do the other session.

Sixth form hall session will be a warm up or cool down (depending if it's the groups 1st or 2nd hour). flexibility, ballet and modern, students will be assess/scored on how they interact, listen and take on instruction and their technique.

The stage session will be a warm up or cool down (depending if its the groups 1st or 2nd hour) and learning some short choreography.

15:30-16:00 both 7-11yrs and 12yrs+ groups will perform in groups the choreography learnt which they will be scored on, this will be added to their sixth form hall score and a scholarship winner announced.
